I was really surprised to find out that people and even experienced travellers know almost nothing about such a notion as boutique hotel. So I would like to tell you a couple of words about this amazing phenomenon. Are you ready?

• the following term came from the USA and the UK and it is used to describe very private, intimate and extremely luxurious hotel, designed by a famous architect or so;
• according to owners of such hotels their main aim is to provide first class services and undivided attention to each client;
• such hotels started appearing in the 1980s in major cities like London and New York;
• as a rule such hotels are luxuriously and exquisitely furnished ones, most of them are themed, and stylish hotels;
• such hotels are much smaller than chained hotels most of us are used to, as a rule, they don’t have more than 50 rooms;
• one more option, it goes without saying that such hotels are among the most expensive ones …
